I moved from St. Louis in ´91 where I was an avid Blues fan, that is until ´93 when the Minnesota North Stars made a daring move to Dallas and became the only professional hockey team in Texas, The Dallas Stars. Although I will always enjoy rooting for the Blues, unless they are playing the Stars that is, I have become an avid Stars fan ever since they set foot here in Dallas.
One thing that may surprise you about myself, I never attended my first hockey game, professional or otherwise, until December 15th, 1998. I will never forget the 7-3 victory over the visiting Blues which was the first home game against the Blues after acquiring Brett Hull. Hully has been my all time #1 favorite player since I grew up watching him play on the Blues. That night, he was one goal short of a hat trick. Ever since that game, I was hooked on attending games. I attended at least one playoff game in each of the series during the ´99 race and game 5 of the Stanley Cup.
I was introduced to podcasting by a co-worker/friend of mine and decided to start the Dallas Stars Podcast in 2005. After doing a show for almost every game during the season, I quickly learned that in between attending games, watching parties, and producing the shows, I really enjoyed podcasting about the Stars. I look forward to the second season with a new site design, co-host and good friend of mine – Jay Leask, and a weekly show with more content including you the fans! Thanks in advance for your input, spreading the word, participating, and of course listening.

I've been a hockey fan all my life but never had the support to really get into it as a kid. The most experience I really
ever had with it was watching my brother play for a local adult league in Boston on a team called the Hornets, if I remember correctly.
Over the past few years I've found myself watching games with no real interest in any specific team but just for the sport. I'm a novice
when it comes to knowing the rules, and the teams, but enjoying the games is in my blood.Scott introduced me to the Dallas Stars last season when he took me to my first NHL hockey game in memory (I know I went to a Rangers game and an Islanders game as a kid, but I don't remember either of them). Since that game I've been hooked. I read all of Razor's blogs, check out the stats of every Stars game, go to as many of the watching parties as I can, and this season I'll be going to as many of the home games as possible. All in all, I'm hooked on the Stars, baby!
When Scott asked me to join him on the podcast this season I jumped at the chance. As I said I really enjoy hockey, especially the Stars, but I don't know much about the stats and rules; what better way to learn then jump right in? Now here I am, ready to say stupid things and get corrected by friends, listeners, and fans, and ready to enjoy a great season watching and talking about the Stars.
So welcome to season 2 of the Dallas Stars Podcast. I hope you enjoy listening to us as much as we love talking about the Stars. And as Scott always says "Tell a friend, Tell a fan, and we'll see you at the games!"

I’m a good ol’ Canadian boy that has been in love with our national sport since I can remember. So that’d be more than 35 years.
Of those 35 years I have been a Stars fan since going to my first game, Canucks vs Stars, in 1979. I’ve there through the thick
and the thin and even the very thin. Just like any team we have had our ups and downs and I have been there every step of the way
...While living in Vancouver I made sure to attend as many Stars games as possible. I was always easy to spot in the crowd since I was the only one wearing the green and gold. Yeah I have taken a lot of abuse for being a die hard fan…and I love it!!! I even got flak from the Vancouver mascot at one game! I tell ya I have earned my stripes. Now living in Alberta, Canada I still try to make it out to as many Stars games as possible. Food for thought – the area of North America that hates the Stars the most is Edmonton. I live an hour away from Edmonton and man do I ever get a lot of angry Oiler fans yelling at me here. They are still quite bitter because we have beaten them in the playoffs so many times. I always wear my Dallas jersey proudly! Long live the Stars!!!
